POSITION AVAILABLE: Social Worker (part-time) Tuesday evenings, 6 to 9 p.m.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Sr. VP for Developmental Disabilities or Designee, Elizabeth W. Pouch Center for Special People

QUALIFICATIONS:

   1. NYS social work license

   2. Experience working with developmentally disabled children a plus

DUTIES: Include, but are not limited to:   

   Conducts group therapy sessions with children and supervises their group activities;

    Other duties as assigned.

    

SALARY: Dependent upon experience

POSITION AVAILABLE: Social Worker (full time)- On-Site School Mental Health Program

RESPONSIBLE TO: Director, On-Site School Mental Health Program

QUALIFICATIONS:

   1. Masters Degree in Social Work

   2. Licensed in New York State

   3. Experience working with children; recent graduate will be considered

   4. Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus

   5. Must work 2 evenings per week

DUTIES: Include but are not limited to:  

    Comprehensive intake interviews;

    Interpretation of diagnostic results and evaluations to parents;

    In-school individual, family or group therapy; home visits as required; client advocacy;

    Maintenance of 25 kept client visits/week and corresponding documentation;

    Adherence to policies and practices as stipulated in the agency' s Policies and Procedures Manual

    Timely documentation of all client activity as required by NYS law and regulation and NYC contractual obligations;   

    Attendance and participation in agency In-Service Training program;

    Prior-approved authorization obtained from 3rd party carriers in a timely manner;

    Collateral contact with teachers and other relevant school personnel on a regular basis;

    Professional staffing of Summer Therapeutic Program;

    Other duties as assigned.   

SALARY: Ranges between $51,110 and $63,768, dependent upon experience

POSITION AVAILABLE: Secretary (full time)

RESPONSIBLE TO: Assistant Office Manager, Chait

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Computer proficient

   2. At least 1 year of secretarial experience

   3. Ability to relate to the public

   4. Ability to work with confidential material  

   5. Self-motivating and reliable

   6. Must be able to work 2 evenings per week   7. Good writing skills

   8. Other qualifications in accordance with particular work assignment

DUTIES: Include but are not limited to:  

    Performs all secretarial functions: must learn all aspects of Anasazi Billing System; enters data into electronic billing and client chart computer program; types clinical reports and correspondence; files clinical paperwork; performs chart review and maintains updated log of clinical paperwork due;

    Performs other duties as assigned, such as: acts as back-up for Front Desk receptionist and switchboard operator; locks up all client information at close of business day; assists clinical staff;

    Assists Assistant Office Manager, as needed;   

    Complies with SIMHS Polices and Procedures and New York State Mental Hygiene, HIPAA, and other laws regarding patient care, clinical records, child abuse, etc.

SALARY: $36,169.32 annually

The SIMHS's requirements for professional staff are as follows:

Psychiatrist:

M.D., licensed in New York State and board certified/eligible

Psychologist:

Ph.D. or Psy.D., licensed in New York State or eligible

Social Worker:

M.S.W., licensed in New York State

Speech/Language Pathologist:

licensed in New York State

Preschool Special Education Teacher:

Master's degree and preschool certification
